Looker Studio & Google Sheets Connector

A free app that streams your CRM data — opportunities, contacts, appointments, daily rollups, sources — into Google Sheets and Looker Studio. No exports, no Zapier, no copy-paste. Two minutes from install to live data.

Stuck at any point? Don’t wrestle with it — email hello@pipelinesignals.io and a human who built this replies same-day, usually within the hour. Free white-glove setup is a real offer, not a slogan.

1

Install (free)

Install the connector from the marketplace on the sub-accounts you want. Open Data Feeds in the sub-account’s left menu — your feed URLs are already live: one per dataset, each behind its own secret token.

Locations usually appear within a minute. If the page says “no locations yet” right after installing, that’s the CRM still attaching your sub-account — refresh once and it appears. Nothing is wrong.

2

Google Sheets — paste one formula

Click Sheets formula next to any feed and paste it into any cell of a Google Sheet:

=IMPORTDATA("https://app.pipelinesignals.io/feed/YOUR-TOKEN/opportunities")

The table fills in, headers included, and Google refreshes it automatically (roughly hourly). Build whatever you like on top — pivot tables, charts, your own client sheet. That’s the whole Sheets setup.

3

Looker Studio — add our connector (once)

One-time, about two minutes. Google shows a couple of standard screens on the way that look scarier than they are — here’s exactly what to expect:

  1. Open the connector link → You’ll see Pipeline Signals Data Connector, by CatchLead Ltd.
  2. Click Authorise and pick your Google account.
  3. Paste your feed token (or a whole feed URL — we’ll extract the token), pick a dataset, click Connect top-right.
  4. On the field list, click Create report. On the blank canvas: Add a chart → Table, click to place it.
  5. With the table selected, drag fields from the right panel into Dimensions (Opportunity, Contact, Pipeline, Stage, Status, Source) — Value goes under Metrics. Your deals appear.
⚠️

“Google hasn’t verified this app” — expected, and safe. Google shows this warning for every community connector that isn’t in its own gallery, including ours. Click Advanced → Go to Pipeline Signals Data Connector → Allow. The only permission it asks for is fetching your own feed URLs — it can’t see your Drive, email, or anything else.

⚠️

Signed into several Google accounts? After clicking Allow you may land on a “Sorry, unable to open the file” page. Ignore it — the authorisation actually succeeded; Google just bounced the confirmation to the wrong account. Reopen the connector link and continue. To avoid it entirely, use a window signed into one Google account.

Chart looks empty at first? Looker guesses one dimension when you place a table. Add the fields you want under Dimensions (step 5 above) and the rows appear.

The datasets

Opportunities

One row per opportunity: name, contact, pipeline, stage, status, value, source, created & status-changed timestamps.

Contacts

Most recent 5,000 contacts: name, email, phone, source, tags, date added.

Appointments

Last 180 days + next 60: calendar, status, start time — one row each.

Daily rollup

One row per day (last 180): opportunities created, won count, won revenue. Ready for time-series charts.

Sources

One row per lead source: opportunity count, open pipeline value, won count, won revenue.

Security

Each feed URL carries an unguessable token scoped to one location. Anyone with the URL can read that location’s feed — treat it like a share link. Data is read-only: the connector never writes to your CRM, and rotating a token instantly kills every pasted URL.

Skip the dashboard-building entirely? Our free Client Reports & Dashboards app turns the same data into a finished white-label client dashboard — logo, share link, scheduled email reports. And Pipeline Signals adds real ad attribution, so “source” means “Google Ads” instead of “unknown”. All three apps are built to work together.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes — no card, no limits on feeds or refreshes. It’s free forever; we make our money on Pipeline Signals, our paid attribution app.

Google says the connector is “not verified” — is it safe?

Yes. Google shows that warning for every community connector outside its curated gallery — it’s about gallery membership, not safety. The connector is published by CatchLead Ltd (the Pipeline Signals team), asks for exactly one permission (fetching your own feed URLs), and can’t see your Drive, Gmail, or anything else in your Google account.

I authorised and got a “Sorry, unable to open the file” page

Harmless — and your authorisation did go through. It happens when your browser is signed into multiple Google accounts and Google bounces the confirmation to the wrong one. Just reopen the connector link and continue; or use a window with a single Google account signed in.

How fresh is the data?

Feeds serve a cache up to 15 minutes old. Google Sheets re-imports roughly hourly on Google’s own schedule; Looker Studio refreshes whenever the report does.

My Sheet shows only headers

A brand-new install syncs within a minute or two — refresh the Sheet. If it persists, reopen Data Feeds in your CRM (that re-checks the install), then refresh again. Still stuck? Email us — same-day reply.

My Looker table is empty

Looker only guesses one field when you place a chart. Select the table and add dimensions from the right-hand field panel (Opportunity, Contact, Pipeline, Stage, Status, Source) with Value as the metric — the rows appear immediately.

How do I use several datasets in one report?

Each Looker Studio data source holds one dataset — that’s how connectors work. In your report, click Add data, choose our connector again, paste the same feed URL, and pick the next dataset. Repeat for the ones you need — every chart in the report can then use whichever data source fits it, and you can blend them (they share keys like date and source).

Can I revoke a feed?

Yes — rotating a location’s token in Data Feeds instantly kills every pasted URL for that location. Paste the new formula and you’re back.
